Leftists at UT-Austin protested the recruitment offices of the armed forces yesterday. To me, this sends a clear message that the peace movement is more anti-American than anti-war. You don't see them protesting the likes of Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein or other totalitarian warmongers. The left will support any thug who "stands up to US imperialism." The left's motto should be: Terrorists, tyrants and traitors in solidarity against America!

Another country on the Russian periphery is feeling the heat of the Bush Doctrine. It is amazing how much progress has been made recently in countries such as Ukraine, Georgia Kyrgystan and elsewhere. Let's hope the drive for democratization continues with Belarus.

This new book really captures the spirit of the new breed of young conservative. Anderson and my own analysis of the young conservative movement go hand-in-hand. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know where the young conservative movement is, and where the conservative movement in general is going. A piece in the Weekly Standard: http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/131vxnun.asp?pg=1 An interesting new website on SPC's. http://southparkconservatives.com/ Buy the book: http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?isbn=0895260190&nrd=1

My buddy Bryan is at it again. I heard he will be on Hannity and Colmes tonight. This is the guy who led a bunch of leftists in their peace march, when he was actually just making fun of them. Nice job Bryan! http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20050408/us_nm/security_arizona_dc_1 Militia volunteers patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border were accused of holding a Mexican immigrant against his will and making him pose with a joke T-shirt but law enforcement officials ruled on Thursday no crime had been committed. The man filed a legal complaint charging that he was held and forced to display a T-shirt, distributed by "Minuteman" volunteer Bryan Barton, that said: "Bryan Barton caught me crossing the border and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

Once again, the left shows its true attitude toward intellectual diversity and civility. Pat Buchanan, Ann Coulter, William Kristol and now David Horowitz have all been assaulted by leftist students in recent weeks. http://www.frontpagemag.com/blog/index.asp There's a wave of leftist violence against conservative speakers on college campuses, and tonight I was a target. Four juvenile delinquents at Butler University doused me with a chocolate cream pie at the beginning of my speech on academic freedom (as if to make my point!). Three of them were arrested including a female who hurled racial epithets at my friend Marvin Scott, a professor at Butler and the Republican candidate for the Senate in the November election. This kind of thuggish behavior is of course encouraged by a radical faculty which regularly derides conservatives and conservative students and by an administration which tolerates all this. I was lucky my glasses weren't broken, since the pie was slammed into my face at eye level. After drying off, I went on with my speech to a mostly leftwing audience. I will press charges if the opportunity is provided. There should be zero tolerance for obstruction of campus speakers whether they be Pat Buchanan (who also got pied) or Noam Chomsky. I'll be interested to hear what the Butler administration and faculty have to say.

http://tigerhawk.blogspot.com/2005/03/al-qaedas-grand-strategy.html This summary of a lecture by Princeton Professor Michael Doran gives a great explanation of al Qaeda's goals. I find this analysis similar to the thinking of Thomas Barnett's The Pentagon's New Map.
http://www.washtimes.com/world/20050404-122126-6255r.htm Relative stability and oil wealth are drawing jobs and opportunities to the northern city of Kirkuk, which will soon be the first major city in Iraq to take charge of its own defense. And yet there are still those who protest the Liberation of these people.
